Good morning emporium. We’re now in 2023 and it is going to be the absolute best year I have had — especially with all of you at my side!
Today I am at a vendor market selling some simple products I have created to support my herbal studies. I am very excited to save up for the plans I have to finish college. I am also excited to be able to test out recipes and teach you all more and more each week that comes and goes.
When March rolls around we will start having some downloads available with quick access to information on herbs. As my education deepens we will have better and more in depth detail on each herb and all articles afterwards.
I am excited to be at this trade show and help people learn how to help themselves and understand how to make basic remedies for themselves and their family. Now more than ever, taking care of yourself is the most important skill you can ever have! Health is 100% wealth and you can’t buy it.
If you like health and fitness, I write a separate substack dedicated to keeping your body in shape with the latest information surrounding lifting weights and making your body work best for you.
I wanted start this publication to share what I learn as I go along in my certifications in herbalism to help teach others what they can do to stay healthy. I currently have my first two certifications under my belt and I am saving up to go to a dedicated herbal school in order to become a well rounded community herbalist and keep my education train rolling. I do still plan on returning to college to complete my degree in physical therapy and my ultimate goal is to open my own doors and have a complete holistic practice and teach everyone from every walk of life.
With that being said, let’s get into part 5 of our series!

Welcome back to Basic Herbs 101. This week we are tackling our fourth herb, mullein. Typically known, mullein is a tea or tincture that is used for respiratory issues.
If you haven’t already, please like us on Facebook or follow us on Instagram to help us go farther. We post simple tips, recipes and more on simple (and screenshot worthy) infographics on herbs frequently outside of writing this publication. If you are a free subscriber, these are great snippets of information that we talk about here.
I love using mullein in tea blends or tinctures. There are great recipes for usage for when you may feel specific symptoms, which we will get to later in this post.
We know that mullein is a great tool for all around health purposes, but what should it be used for? All that and more in today’s post dedicated to mullein.
Spring of 2023 there will be PDFs available for download at reasonable cost for subscribers and be sure to share this with your friends and family.
Check out this article praising the benefits of mullein and how it can help us.
Starting indoors:
stratify your mullein seeds in your fridge for 4-6 weeks prior to sowing indoors
plant 6-8 weeks before the last frost
water the pots thoroughly first
place seeds on top, sunlight is needed to germinate
cover your seeds and keep in a light and warm place
you can grow mullein in pots, but remember some plants may reach 5 or more feet so plan accordingly.
4-6 weeks from germination you can plant outdoors
